We've always had good experiences here. It was a favorite when we lived in Orinda. nice food, atmosphere and service.
Great spot in Lafayette for a satisfying meal and warm service. Popped in here 4pm on a Saturday and the place was mostly empty. Our server Kendra was wonderful. She gave us the choice to pick our table so we grabbed a cozy spot by the fireplace. We ordered the burrata to share, the Croque Monsieur and the six hour braised lamb. The burrata with the cherry tomatoes was delicious and you could taste the intense flavor of the basil oil drizzle. My husband's sandwich looked great and I stole some of his French fries. The fries were so crisp and some of the best I have had. The lamb was so flavorful, I had to save some for the next day and it tasted even better. Definitely coming back for more!
Metro and Owner Jack have a fantastic restaurant in town that is always reliable for taste and ambiance. If you're in the mood for a great burger then this is your place, by far the best and juiciest in town. If you're looking for something a little lighter, the salads paired with an appetizer like the poke is a great choice. The entrees change every so often but there is no bad food here and something for most everyone. It does get a little loud when it's busy but there is a tented and non tented outside which is nice (temperature permitting). You can't go wrong here and if Jack is in he will make sure you're taken care of.
The service and food was AMAZING! Steak frite was huge and delicious. I recommend the butterscotch dessert! Great people and I will be back soon!

Dinner at Metro in Lafayette. Ordered their famous crispy brussel sprouts- crispy on the outside perfectly steamed in the middle served with lemon aioli. The lamb ragu with homemade spinach fettuccine may not look pretty, but it sure tastes good. The lobster BLAT was amazing! Huge chunks of Maine lobster, Smoked bacon, perfectly ripe heirloom tomatoes, avocado aioli, crisp lettuce served on a brioche bun and side salad. Yum!! Great service and perfect martinis. Great date night spot
On the regular rotation, this place never fails. The beet salad was so refreshing on a hot day, with a gorgeous citrus cocktail.
